Elementary Program

Our elementary program helps young Dream Scholars from first grade through post-secondary education (a 12 to 16 year journey) to achieve academic excellence, to learn social-emotional and life skills, to try new things through enrichment programming and to give back through community service.

Literacy and Math Skills

Our skilled Program Coordinators support our young Dream Scholars in developing reading and math skills through reading and writing groups, storytelling, and homework assistance. Our program curriculum aligns with national and locally defined academic standards goals and benchmarks.

Social-Emotional Learning

Every activity we engage in is designed and delivered through a lens that supports social-emotional learning and development. Students are motivated to develop social skills, empathy, kindness, and commitment to their own and others’ well-being using cooperative play and collaborative project work.

Life Skills

Our young Dream Scholars learn new skills daily, with Program Coordinators, volunteers and guests introducing new activities, crafts, musical instruments, and ideas for exploration and discussion.

Enrichment

Dream Scholars will go on field trips to museums, musical events, outdoor activities and other enrichment opportunities through partnerships with other organizations and community members.

Service

We believe in cultivating the values of “giving back” and community from a very early age. Students cooperate with one another, and our staff, to clean up and prepare for new activities in the Dream Spaces where programming is conducted. Each year, they will take on additional community service projects that are age appropriate and fun to develop their sense of responsibility for others and the value of becoming global citizens.
