We Stand in Solidarity
The “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Idaho joins with our national headquarters and our affiliates around the country, to stand in solidarity with communities of color suffering racial injustice and inequity.
At “I Have A Dream” Foundation, our mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of their race, has the opportunity to thrive. We, and our affiliates around the nation, have the privilege of working with thousands of vulnerable families, many Latino and Black, and we see the impact that racism and systemic inequity have on our young people and their families.
From the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on communities of color to the events of the past several weeks – the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery – to name just three of so many lives lost, we share in our nation’s alarm. Below are some resources we have gathered to help educate ourselves and our communities so that we can achieve a world where all people can thrive.
We stand in solidarity with the peaceful protesters across this country who are demanding justice and accountability and for the change we need to see.
Thank you,
Laura Rose-Lewis, Executive Director
